I totally recommend the place. Clean apartment, fairly quiet area, a quick motorbike ride from the city center, some delicious local food nearby. The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful. They provide everything you might need, all you have to do is ask! I enjoyed my stay at the local for the most part. Mai was super nice and attentive. Before check-in I was informed that I would be getting upgraded to the room that had the bathroom inside, so that was a nice surprise.

Check in was easy, and Mai showed me everything I needed to know. She had amenities that were helpful shower gel, tooth paste, shampoo, and iron which I really appreciated. Everything looked as pictured and the location was very close to Bui Vien street. I think the grab ride was about 7 minutes over the bridge. My only problem was ants. I have experienced ants quite often here in Vietnam.

I understand the buildings here are built differently and ants may get through, but it was just too many ants. I woke up one night to ants being all in my bed and I was bit a few times. I ended up, switching to the other bed for the last 2 nights of my trip because the ants weren't so bad on that side of the room, but because I felt ants were all in the comforter, I didn't use it, and only had the white sheet to sleep with. I didn't bother changing AirBnbs because I didn't wanna go through the hassle.
All in all, The Local is a lovely place to stay and very convenient, the ants were just a slight problem for me.

Located on the 15th floor so no noise from the streets, easy to sleep here compared to other places in Saigon. Brendon and his staff were very friendly, hospitable and very accommodating. Me and my friend had easy access on everything. I recommend this place. The cost is cheap but i got more than I paid for.
I wont hesitate to book in this hostel again when i go back to Saigon with my family. Thank you Bendon and staff. Much love!

Glad to have found this place. Quiet, cozy and well-decored room in the busy center of the city. Was very easy to commute to nearby transport stations and amusement. The neighbourhood had entertaining nightlife, but this place was very calm and relaxing. The host had great communication, too. Worth coming back. Our stay in Saigon was wonderful. Brendon was fantastic at not only providing us with tonnes of local information but also set up a food tour for us which was worth every penny and a highlight of our stay. The location is fantastic, walking distance to everything you need and it is quiet and peaceful off the busy main road.
Nice little place to camp in the city. Great find. Neat, clean and cool place to crash for a night. Friendly host! One of the best places we've stayed in Vietnam and in SEA 3 months trip! Room was cozy and bed was very comfortable. All staff was very nice and helpful. We loved that you can eat delicious breakfast and do your own laundry.
Location is very convenient, walkable distance to many tourist attractions. If we come back to Saigon, will definitely stay here again.
Thanks again for hosting us! Great location about 5 minutes walk from the bus stop for the airport bus. Also walking distance to the main market, Reunification Palace, and the backpacker district. Staff was really friendly and welcoming. Room did not have its own outside window but did have a large window that was directly across the hall from an outside window so it got natural light. Attractively furnished. Free coffee and breakfast off the menu every morning was great. Excellent budget option. Nicely located in a quiet side street near the main attractions. Food was all good and at a reasonable price.
Some alcohol would have been nice to buy with the food but the bar didn't have any. Room was OK for the price, clean, functional, and yes we would stay again. We stayed for 6 nights and loved it. The room is clean bed and towels got changed after 3 days , the location is great and staff are very friendly. Wifi is excellent - I teach online so this is important for me!

Hot shower and washing machine were also great. The biggest perk - every morning breakfast and a drink is included in your price! The roast pork with rice noodle salad is amazing, and the passion fruit juice was a refreshing drink to have with it. I would definitely recommend this place. This is a great place to stay if you're visiting Ho Chi Minh! It's a great location, perfect for walking to places of interest or local restaurants and cafes.
We really enjoyed the delicious complimentary breakfast you can choose a Vietnamese dish from the menu and it was a bonus having the cafe there, in case we wanted to eat lunch or dinner there too as it's cheap but the food is so tasty! Definitely would stay there again if in Ho Chi Minh! And even the airport. Chup was accommodating to our questions and requests. Best part is free breakfast! The bedroom wasn't so clean but we had a great time! All in all, our stay here was very great. Room was bigger than what I have expected. Breakfast being served was also amazing and healthy. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
Nice place, however be aware this is a hotel with 24h reception. The place itself is very clean, the staff is very helpful, the value is great for what you get. Water bottles, soda and instant noodles provided however all these are extra charge! Just get a 1,5l water bottle from a grocery store for 0. The only place I stayed at during my 4 weeks in Vietnam where coffee was not provided. Host responds very quick to any questions or issues. All the staffs, especially Steven, are helpful and friendly. The thing I love most is the outstanding living room and kitchen where I can cook my meal and enjoy watching TV and playing games.

The wifi speed here is incredible. I downloaded a 4K in 7 minutes. About the room, it was not as small as I thought. Actually, I feel very comfortable when staying in my room with cool air from air conditioner above my head. I have been staying in my dorm room on AirBNB for my business trip, but this place is my favorite one. The bedroom I stayed is more than I expected with its really affordable price for backpackers. Especially, the place is extremely near Bui Vien street. I will come back again if having another chance to visit Hochiminh City. Steven, you are one of experienced host I have ever met during my vacation around the world.
