The rooms were ready at noon as we arrived, and they even upgraded the 3 girls room and took care of every wish we had. The hotel is located perfectly in the end of Gran-Via right on the metro station on plaza de espana. The bar on the 14th floor has a great view of the city and a delicious meals. We therefore needed an hotel close to the Gran Via at a reasonable price and selected the Hotel Quatro Puerta del Sol based on its Agoda reviews. We were not disappointed - the hotel is ideally placed to visit Madrid, is clean and the staff very helpful and courteous.
The room we were given on the top floor of the hotel had a large external terrace with views out over the city, a table, chairs and a sunlounger. The bedroom itself was well equipped, very clean, and reasonably large by Madrid inner city standards and the bathroom was equally good. The only negative was that the TV was mounted on a wall at the side of the bed and was difficult to watch from the twin beds.
Eventos, ferias y jornadas gastronómicas en Madrid
The biggest surprise was a very impressive breakfast in the hotel the following morning. Having now found this very centrally located hotel we shall definitely be staying at the Hotel Quatro Puerta del Sol again on our next visit to Madrid. We had a very big double room with full kitchen, very central, clean, great breakfast! Surely come back. A quality hotel in s great location. Close to all the main attractions with some fantastic restaurants on the doorstep. Great pool and bar on the roof. Yes both quite small but we did not find either to be over busy. Staff really helpful and approachable.
A pleasure to stay!! Tucked away in a quiet side street directly off Plaza Opera, this is a great location from which to explore the city. We were travelling with no hold luggage and the mini double room we booked was more than adequate for our needs. If you had one or two large suitcases, you would need to book a larger room. Staff were very friendly and efficient which is more than I can say for Agoda. Having booked the hotel using the PayPal option, I received no confirmation from Agoda or booking reference.
I tried phoning Agoda on three occasions and emailing on four occasions with no success. When I queried the booking with PayPal after my account had been debited they confirmed that the payment was legitimate, but I still hadn't received any confirmation from Agoda.
It was only after phoning the hotel directly that I obtained piece of mind that my booking was confirmed. This was the first time I've booked with Agoda and will probably be my last. The prices were very competitive, but I'd rather pay more for piece of mind. Good variety selection for breakfast, front desk service is good, provide afternoon tea daily without extra cost, very polite housekeeper. The only thing is room on the top floor is a bit dark without ceiling light.
The front desk amazing.
Studio54Madrid le regala una gran noche
All staff bent over backwards to accommodate. Terrific location. Posh ambiance. Simply delighted. One of the nicest hotels we stayed at during our day trip to Spain and Portugal. Large room with a queen-size bed and plenty of space for our luggage. Many restaurants nearby. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
Madrid is probably quite an expensive city so you have to expect that. The car was well located right near the tourist bus. A laundrette was close and good shopping and food handy. Generally the hotel was clean and beds comfy but the carpet and interiors were a little tired. Excellent staff. Very pleasant and helpful. Impossible to fault. Apart from hearing the neighbours talking AND snoring even, which also may have meant they could hear our talking too.
Apart from hearing the neighbours talking AND snoring even, which also may have meant they could hear our talking too.. We were treated very nicely by the hotel staff. We were offered much more than we paid for. It was a very comfortable stay. It is near the Opera metro station which is one station away from Sol. It is in a very convenient spot. We recommend this hotel. We stayed only for one night but we will be staying longer in the future. The hotel is posh and stilish.
It is quite close to the metro station, The hotel is just in front of the Prado and it is a perfect choice for people visiting it. It was amazing. And I I will be returnung.

The only hotel I wold think of staying at will be this one. Tricky to find as the map put it to the east of the Gran Via Metro station rather than the west but once there, it was great. Quick, friendly service and a great room.

I would definitely stay here again - but only at a similarly low price. Not a criticism of the hotel, I just don't think it's worth paying for a night's sleep.

It was the second time I stayed there and I thought it was a great experience both times. Front desk staff is excellent and the location cannot be beat. This is a decent enough hotel situated right on the busy Gran Via directly next to Callao metro station - its excellent soundproofing blocked out all the street noise. We stayed at the Mint Hotel in the centre of Madrid for 3 nights. The hotel was fantastic, old world charm with very modern amenities. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. You must try the breakfast from If every hotel in the world were like the Mint I'd be a very happy man!!
Really enjoyed staying at this hotel definitely on my return to list, central for all attractions. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and ultra modern furnishings.

It was nice to be able to eat breakfast at hotel. Cannot fault anything. Lovely modern place in excellent location. Rooms are spacious and simple with interesting decor. Noise insulation from the street was excellent. Location is very central and safe, on a quiet backstreet close to Opera and Sol.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Catalonia. With so many hotels in Madrid it was hard to choose. But the biggest selling points for us were the central location and the reasonable price. We were very pleased and would certainly stay there again. It is just a two minute walk to the Gran Via Metro stop, and only a few minutes to Sol, and a few of the other stops as well. We bought a ten pass Metro ticket but only ended up using half of our trips because everything ended up being in walking distance.
The hotel staff were friendly and we had no complaints about the room. Today's Top Deals. Get coupon. Expires in 4 days!
