This is a fantastically restored historic building in a great location. A short walk to anything in the Crossroads or the streetcar stop to get to other parts of downtown. Theresa was a wonderful host. This beautiful venue was such a delightful treat to us! Such a beautifully decorated home and an amazingly warm environment!
We stayed with Peter and Theresa for three nights and they were lovely hosts, friendly and accommodating to our schedule. Beautiful home in a neighborhood that has become a very desirable location near downtown. Perched on a "palatine hill" overlooking downtown KC, the majestic house is within walking distance of attractions and restaurants. The room was cozy and the bed exceptionally comfortable.
Peter and Theresa provided excellent tips on where to dine and directions to local transportation between downtown and Union Station. We will definitely stay there again. Southmoreland was beautiful, the location is perfect right by the plaza and the food was to die for!! Everyone was so nice and it truly is a great experience!

Definitely worth the stay! Southmoreland is the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at. Scrumptious breakfasts. Service top-notched. Pros: Charming room. Great friendly accommodating staff. Staffed all day. Wonderful breakfasts. Lots of extra touches in the room: fresh apples, sherry, fresh flowers in bud vase. The common rooms, all attractively decorated, make the stay extra comfortable: cute sitting room, dining area, sunny breakfast room, outdoor patio.
Great for socializing with other guests. Quiet and relaxing.

Walking distance to Nelson-Atkins Museum and Plaza shopping and dining. Cons: tight parking, but there is street parking for those driving trucks or oversized cars. Room was on the small size, however with our private deck, the space was larger than the norm. And enjoy their phenomenal breakfasts.

The historic home is beautiful and extremely well maintained. The location was perfect, amenities were excellent, and Liesl was beyond hospitable and friendly. Excellent experience overall! The Browning is a great place to stay in Lee's Summit. It's within walking distance of downtown. Liesl is very responsive and strives to accommodate needs. The room and bathroom were clean and welcoming. I highly recommend staying at the Browning! Darn near perfect. A beautiful facility in a great location for downtown.

We walked down to Third Street Social for dinner, and it was terrific, too. We heard that Smoke Brewing Company is really good, too, and it's a closer walk. If we're ever in Lee's Summit again, we'll be staying here again for sure. One of our best AirBnB experiences ever.
